What will I experience on the tubing trip? The Turbo Tubing trip is 2 and a half hours total (including a shuttle ride back to the start point) down the Ottawa Mighty River from Bate Island to LeBreton Flats. You will meet our team at Bate Island 15 minutes before your scheduled trip time to fill in a release waiver. We will have a safety briefing and provide you with the necessary equipment including a tube, paddle, lifejacket, helmet, and a dry bag for your group. We will then head to the water and start our adventure by paddling our first rapid. After we conquer the rapids, we will continue down the river and experience more rapids, cliff jumping, our lazy river, and the beautiful Ottawa scenery. Throughout the trip, there will be opportunities to relax, take pictures, splash each other and enjoy the nature oasis. The trip ends at LeBreton Flats where we will shuttle you back to Bate Island.

What should I bring?Proper Shoes (See FAQ for details) Clothes you feel comfortable getting wet-swim shorts and synthetic top Water Bottle Sunscreen A great attitude
-
What should I wear?We recommend you wear a bathing suit or any synthetic or nylon clothing. Avoid wearing cotton as it stays wet and can make you cool. If it’s windy or cooler, a synthetic rash guard-type long sleeve and/or windbreaker could be brought along. We will provide you with a helmet and lifejacket.    For footwear, we suggest wearing shoes that can get wet. Water shoes, old running shoes or sandals with a back strap are all good options. Your feet will get wet. Footwear is a requirement.

Will I have to carry my tube?Yes, there are a few times when you will have to lift your tube and carry it. At our first rapid you will have a chance to do the rapid a couple times. To do this you will have to carry your tube up to the top of the rapid to do it again. At the end of the trip you will have to carry it a short distance to the equipment trailer. The tubes are relatively light at 6.6 Kgs (about 14lbs).
-
What If lose my tube or fall off?Your tube is very stable and it is highly unlikely you will fall out unless you decide to take a scheduled swim stop. If you wish to jump in for a swim, attach your paddle to the tube and it will float alongside you. A guide will always be around to help if you need assistance.
